A state agency says a Troy man, whose body was found in his room at a rehab center, was abused as well as neglected.
Raolik Walls' body was found a year ago in his room at the Hudson Mohawk Recovery Center in Troy.
It was nearly 40 days since his family heard from him.
The center told them he packed his bags and left.
The state's Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs says the center failed to provide proper supervision and alleged abuse and neglect in the case.
A police report says Walls' body was found over a month after he was last seen.
The center says it will review the findings and recommendations, and continue to provide treatment and recovery services.
Walls's family plans to file a lawsuit.
