Announcement NTSB Can Access the Limo From the Schoharie Crash Pulled Back

Schoharie Limo Crash

There is some confusion about a possible agreement to allow the National Transportation Safety Board to have access to the limo at the center of the crash that killed 20 people in October.

Early Thursday afternoon, a spokesman for Congressman Paul Tonko said there'd been an agreement in the crash investigation.

NTSB has been trying to work with Schoharie County DA Susan Mallery to get full access to the vehicle.

The initial e-mail stated the NTSB may recall an employee who's currently furloughed because of the partial government shutdown, and would construct a "small structure" to house the vehicle, currently in State Police custody.

However, the board now says while progress has been made, terms for a final agreement are still unresolved, because of the government shutdown.
