New Poll Shows Statewide Approval for Cuomo, But Upstate, Not So Much

A new Siena poll says Gov. Cuomo is starting his third term with a 51% favorability rating among registered voters across New York State, up from 45% in November.

However, 58% of upstate voters say they do *not* have a favorable opinion of the governor.

Asked if the governor is doing a good job, 71% of upstate voters give him either a "fair" or "poor" rating.  Statewide, 41% say "good" or "excellent."

57% of voters statewide disapprove of the recent decision by the pay raise commission to increase lawmakers' salaries and restrict outside income.

More than half statewide and upstate support legalizing marijuana.

Infrastructure is the issue statewide voters want Cuomo to be focused on this year.
