Racist Graffiti Stop Sign Discovered and Removed in Schaghticoke

Schaghticoke Stop Sign

Officials with the town of Schaghticoke have replaced a stop sign along Route 67 near Hoosic Valley High School after a teacher recently noticed racist and obscene graffiti scrawled onto it.

The teacher first noticed it when he went next door for a cup of coffee.

Superintendent Michael Apostle says there's no place in Schaghticoke, or anywhere, for this type of thing.

Apostle adds there will be consequences if it's determined that a student scrawled the graffiti.
