Colorado Man Arrested After Threatening to Kill "As Many Girls" As Possible

Utah Police arrested colorado man after he threatened to shoot as many girls as possible because he was a virgin

A Colorado man who allegedly threatened to kill "as many girls as I see" because he was a virgin and never had a girlfriend, was arrested over the weekend by Utah police.

Christopher Wayne Cleary, 27, was arrested by Utah police at a McDonalds in Provo over the weekend after he made the disturbing comments on his Facebook page.

According to the Daily Herald, Clearly allegedly wrote on Facebook that: "All I wanted was a girlfriend, not 1000 … not a bunch of hoes … I’ve never had a girlfriend before and I’m still a virgin, this is why I’m planning on shooting up a public place soon and being the next mass shooter cause I’m ready to die and all the girls the turned me down is going to make it right by killing as many girls as I see."

A second post by Cleary allegedly read: "There’s nothing more dangerous than man ready to die."

The threats were especially concerning to authorities since a series of nationwide Women's Marches had been planned for several cities, including one in Provo where Cleary was arrested.

Police say Cleary admitted to then that he had written the comments because he had become "upset" and was not "thinking clearly when he did so." The 27-year-old Colorado man also made several suicidal comments to police during his interview.

Cleary was booked into the Utah County Jail on making threats of terrorism, a third-degree felony. According to Jefferson County court records, Cleary was sentenced in January to serve a three-year probation term for a felony conviction for stalking and making a repeated communication of domestic violence.
