Slingerlands Couple Face Auto Fraud Charges for Third Time

For the third time in a month, a Slingerlands couple is under arrest for fraudulent car sales.

Timothy and Kimberly Shaffer are again facing felony and misdemeanor charges for trying to sell junked vehicles to unsuspecting buyers.

Investigators say they received numerous calls after the initial arrest of the couple January 7th.

Police say the couple continued to attempt to sell vehicles under fraudulent pretenses, including rolling back car and truck odometers.

Both Shaffers are facing charges in Albany and Colonie, and are due back in court later this month
