Covington Catholic Students Exonerated After Investigation

The Diocese of Covington, Kentucky is standing behind the students at the central of the viral video encounter between Covington Catholic High School students and a Native American.

A third party investigation into the incident was released this morning and Bishop of Covington Roger Foys says it exonerates their students and allows them to move on with their lives. Investigators said they found no evidence that students responded with offensive or racist statements to anyone during a school trip to Washington, D.C.

Videos of Covington Catholic students wearing red Make America Great Again hats while standing in front of a Native American at the Lincoln Memorial surfaced online last month. The videos were shot at the March for Life in Washington D.C. and sparked a national debate.

Many news outlets were quick to accuse the students of racism.
