Plow Driver Called a Hero After Helping Family Escape Waterford House Fire

A state DOT plow driver is being credited with helping to get three people, two adults and a child, out of a burning house in Waterford early Tuesday morning.

Aaron Gagliardi says he was the only one on the road on Third Street when the fire broke out.

Fire officials say Gagliardi saw the flames coming from the house and knocked on the door to get everyone up and out.

The home is a total loss, and will be torn down.

Officials think the fire started on the front porch.

Gagliardi says he doesn't think he did anything special.
