The man accused of killing his girlfriend in Troy last month has entered a not guilty plea to murder charges, but not before almost being removed from the courtroom.
Police say Rashad Edwards stabbed Brianna Haughton to death in a domestic incident.
Her body was found by police who'd been asked to check up on her.
In court Wednesday, Edwards began talking over the top of the judge and his attorney, saying he understand the charges against him.
Afterward, attorney William Roberts didn't want to talk about the case against his client.
Family and friends have started a GoFundMe page to help pay for Brianna's funeral, and to help care for her 1-year-old son (to donate click here).
Edwards remains behind bars in Rensselaer County.
