Schumer Urges EPA to Move Quickly on Revised Drinking Water Standards

Intention is one thing, action is another.

That word from Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer in an appearance at the UAlbany Cancer Research Center in East Greenbush.

Schumer says he wants to get the federal EPA moving quickly on maximum contaminant levels in drinking water.

The agency has agreed to set the standards for PFOA and PFOS.

Now, Schumer says it's time to do it.

Hoosick Falls Mayor Rob Allen agrees with Schumer.

Hoosick Falls first was found to have high levels of PFOA in its water in 2015.
