Rottweiler Who Attacked Child in Troy to be Put Down

"Underdog" will have to be put down, and it appears his owner agrees.

A judge in Troy has ruled that "Underdog," a two-year-old Rottweiler, who attacked a little boy on Valentine's Day and dragged him down a sidewalk, will have to be euthanized as a dangerous dog.

Owner Kevin Waugh, who lives next door to the boy, says he and his family really have no choice.

This incident was in sharp contrast to one last October that led Troy City Council to change its dangerous dog law and, in effect, give judges a case-by-case option of sparing an animal's life.

Waugh was also fined $100.
