Setback for Albany Firefighter in Battle over Sepsis

There’s some disappointing news concerning Albany Airport firefighter Josh Woodward.

He's been recovering from sepsis since going to the hospital last month for what he thought was pain in his arm.

He's been doing remarkably well up to now, but Wednesday, his wife, Chelsea said doctors had to intubate him because he couldn't breathe, his kidneys weren't working, and his lungs were filling up with fluid.

Later in the day, he underwent surgery to remove his right hand. Chelsea wrote Wednesday night her husband is rock solid, and his body can focus its energy on more important places.

She says she's glad to close this chapter and move forward.
