NXIVM Leader Facing New Child Porn Charges

During a hearing Monday, the leader of the group some have called a sex cult, pleads not guilty to new charges, accusing him of possessing child pornography.

NXIVM leader Keith Raniere is facing multiple charges that include sex trafficking, forced labor, wire fraud and racketeering.

His trial is set to begin at the end of next month.

Last week NXIVM co-founder and President Nancy Salzman pleaded guilty to racketeering charges and conspiracy to commit identity theft.

Her lawyer says she won't be cooperating with the government in their cases against Raniere, "Smallville" actress Allison Mack, and Seagram’s heir Claire Bronfman.

The U.S Department of Justice says several co-defendants are taking steps to avoid going to trial with Raniere next month, and are involved in plea negotiations.
