It's that time again.
Students in grades 3 through 8 will be sitting down this week to take the English Language Arts tests, but the state's teachers' union continues to say there are serious issues with the process.
NYSUT Executive Vice-President Jolene Di Brango says the tests, despite recent revisions, are flawed, invalid, and even harmful to students.
Students and parents do have the right to opt out of the testing, but Di Brango says what they really want is for the tests to reflect the work the kids have put into it.
Math tests are scheduled for next month.
