Some schools resume English Language Arts tests for grades 5 and 8 Thursday.
That's after they were placed on hold statewide because of computer problems.
On Tuesday, state education officials said Questar's computer system experienced delays when students were submitting tests at some schools.
Officials are now staggering tests to certain grades to provide "a more reliable experience."
Individual districts will have the option to revert to paper-based tests if they prefer.
Questar reps say their servers ran out of free memory.
The Department is vowing to hold Questar financially accountable for the inadequacies.
State Education officials say more information will be made available soon concerning math testing for next week.
