Schenectady Woman Pleads Guilty to Killing Infant Son

The 38-year-old Schenectady woman whose infant son went missing last Summer has now admitted that she killed him and then buried the boy's body in a sewer behind her State Street home.

Under a plea deal, Heaven Puleski received a 15 year sentence for 1st degree manslaughter. She will be sentenced in June.

She had been charged with 2nd degree murder which carries a maximum sentence of 25-years-to-life in prison.

District Attorney Bob Carney says that his office agreed to the plea deal because the boy's body was so badly decomposed that investigators could not determine a cause of death.
