Seagram's Heiress, Bookkeeper to Plead Guilty in NXIVM Case

Seagram's heiress Clare Bronfman is expected to plead guilty Friday afternoon to identity theft and money laundering charges in relation to the NXIVM group.

A guilty plea is also expected from former bookkeeper Kathy Russell. The group, which is described as being a cult, has been accused of abusing women, even branding some of them against their will.

Earlier this month actress Allison Mack pleaded guilty and said she's sorry for her role in the organization. Prosecutors accused her of accepting money after arranging women to have sex with NXIVM founder Keith Raniere. He has maintained his innocence. Jury selection is expected to begin soon, with a trial to get underway on May 7.
