Palace Shows Canceled Due to Water Main Break

The show isn't going on this weekend at Albany's Palace Theater.

Three performances are shelved due to a water main that burst Tuesday, a "Mary Poppins Family Fun Day" Wednesday afternoon, Thursday night's “P J Masks Save the Day Live!” show, dancer Derek Hough's performance.

Sunday's Frank Zappa hologram concert has been moved to The Egg, and all tickets bought for the Palace will be honored.

City Water Commissioner Joe Coffey says it took two days just to find the broken valve, which dates back to 1890, and had to dig up several sections of pavement before they eventually did.

North Pearl remains closed between Clinton Avenue and Wilson Street until the valve is fixed.

Refunds are available through Ticketmaster or at the box office.
