Calls for an End to Religious Exemption for Measles Vaccines

With the number of measles cases continuing to skyrocket in downstate Rockland County, Executive Ed Day is calling on state lawmakers to end the religious exemption for vaccines.

Day was in Albany on Monday urging legislators to take action right away.

The CDC reports there are at least 700 cases nationwide, a 25 year high.

The majority of the cases in New York are in Rockland and Brooklyn, mainly in Orthodox Jewish communities.
