Glens Falls Man in Custody Following Incident That Killed Family Pet

In Glens Falls, a man is in custody after an incident on Thursday that left a family's two-year-old Dalmatian dead.

Police say Joshua Marcantonio was hanging out at the house on Charlotte Street, when something went wrong.

He left, but police say he returned with a shotgun and fired a round through the front door, narrowly missing a person inside, but hitting the dog, which belonged to Jacqueline Gilligan, who says she doesn't know what led up to the shooting.

Marcantonio is behind bars in Warren County on multiple felony charges.

He could face time on each of the felony charges, and for violating his probation from a 2017 assault conviction.
