Greene County Man Gets Measles While Visiting Brooklyn

The downstate measles scare hits close to home.

State and local health officials confirm a Greene County man came down with measles during a recent visit to Brooklyn, one of the centers of the outbreak, he's remained in Brooklyn since then and is no longer contagious.

While the Capital Region has, so far, been spared from the outbreak, over 200 cases have been reported in Rockland County.

Nationwide, nearly 800 cases reported in 23 states, this the largest outbreak since the disease was declared eradicated in 2000.
