Democratic Assemblyman Victor Pichardo from the Bronx says this is about justice.

But State Sen. Jim Tedisco isn't buying it.

In response to the so-called "Green Light bill," Tedisco and other Republicans are backing a bill that would protect county clerks who might refuse to give an undocumented immigrant a driver's license.

Gov. Cuomo supports the measure, but said last week he wasn't sure would pass the legislature before it adjourns next month.
