Niskayuna Holding Public Forum on Redesigned Holocaust Memorial

Town officials in Niskayuna are once again taking up the question of a Holocaust memorial.

There's a public forum Wednesday night at Niskayuna High School on the redesigned memorial, which has been proposed for a two-acre plot of land donated inside Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery along Troy-Schenectady Road.

Architects have made some changes since the memorial was last debated a year ago, when hundreds of people packed Town Hall to speak on the project, pro and con.

The memorial is the brainchild of Dr. Michael Lozman, who tells the Gazette he expects an easier presentation at Wednesday night's forum, the first of two, the second meeting May 22nd, also at the high school auditorium.
