For the third time this week, a huge fire leaves a home badly damaged.
This time, it was in Rensselaer, where flames quickly spread through a two-family home on Broadway.
Neighbor Tom Edick says he saw smoke and flames coming out of the front window...and saw someone still inside on the second floor.
Neighbor Michael Masias says he did what he could with a hose, and made sure some pets got out OK.
Rensselaer County's Director of Public Safety, Jay Wilson, says crews faced manpower challenges, and, the wind.
Investigators were going through the house on Tuesday afternoon, trying to come up with a cause.
Two other houses sustained minor damage.
One firefighter was taken to the hospital for dehydration.
Firefighters spent two hours fighting the fire.
