Four Democrats Running for Mayor of Cohoes Debate Before SRO Crowd

It was a standing room only crowd at the Cohoes Senior Center Wednesday night, as the four Democrats running for mayor squared off in a debate.

While incumbent Shawn Morse, former State Police Major Bill Keeler, former City Treasurer Peter Frangie, and Councilman Steve Napier dealt with topics including economic growth, the now-closed Cohoes Community Center, education, and public safety, the big question had to do with the federal charges Morse is facing, and should Morse resign.

Napier, Keeler, and Frangie all said yes, he should, but Morse met the issue head-on.

The four will appear at a candidate forum on Monday at Cohoes High School.

The Democratic primary is set for June 25th.
