Albany High Marching Band Performing at D-Day 75th Anniversary in Normandy

It's a once in a lifetime opportunity for a local high school band, and an experience they'll never forget.

The Albany High School Marching Falcons are making their way through France this week, and will be performing Thursday on Omaha beach in Normandy, for the 75th anniversary of the D-Day invasion.

Director Brian Cady says the band has already played a couple of performances in Paris.

Cady also says band members have been speaking with people who remember what it was like to be in France during World War II.

The band has been visiting some of the historical attractions in Paris, and will visit the Notre Dame cathedral, ravaged by fire earlier this year, before heading for Normandy.
