Albany County Stops Employees From Getting Hour Sick Time for Working 30

The Albany County Legislature is saying no to a bill that would have allowed all employees to accrue a minimum of one hour of paid sick time for every 30 hours worked.

The measure was introduced more than a year ago.

But many business owners were opposed to the measure, saying they didn't agree with how it was written.

Jason Pierce, the head of the Albany Restaurant Association, says he supports sick leave, but has problems with the way this bill was written.

Chairman Andrew Joyce says it's unlikely the legislature will take up the measure again.
