Students in the Bethlehem Central School District apparently are part of a huge security breach.
According to reports hackers accessed the names, birth dates and e - mail addresses of over 2,100 students in the local school district.
That breach part of a multi-state security breach, according to a letter sent by the district superintendent to student households.
According to the Times Union, Superintendent of Schools Jody Monroe sent a letter to parents, saying that they believe there is no evidence that any of the student’s information has been misused.
Reports are that the security breach affected 13,000 schools in several states.
