Family and friends will come together this weekend to mark the one year anniversary of the deadly limo crash in Schoharie.
Twenty people were killed on October 6th, 2018 when a 2001 Ford Excursion went through an intersection and a parking lot before slamming into a ravine.
Schoharie County Sheriff Ron Stevens says he still grieves for the victims and their families.
Stevens, a 45 year veteran of law enforcement, adds this was not something anyone can just get over,
Among those who died that day, Patrick Cushing.
His father, Kevin, says the hurt is always there.
He adds this was supposed to be a fun outing to Cooperstown to celebrate a friend’s birthday.
A ceremony will be held Saturday morning at the site to unveil a permanent memorial in honor of those who lost their lives.
