Tuesday Night Vote May Ban E-Cigs, Flavored Tobacco Sale in Albany County

The Albany County Legislature is expected to vote Tuesday night on a bill to ban the sale of e-cigarettes and flavored tobacco products.

Supporters of the legislation say most people who have used tobacco products have started their habit by using flavored products.

But opponents believe it will prevent some folks from quitting smoking and also have a negative impact on businesses.

Tuesday night's legislative meeting begins at 7:30 in the Legislative Chambers of the Albany County Court House.

There will be a public forum that starts at 6:30.
