Code Blue Alerts Put in Place, in Saratoga, Homeless Sent to Ballston Spa

With near-record low temperatures in the area for the next couple of days, Shelters of Saratoga is sending the homeless people it serves to a temporary location in Ballston Spa.

The shelter has issued a Code Blue Alert through Sunday, and will pick up those needing shelter at the Woodlawn Avenue parking garage.

They'll be taken to the Fire Training Building on County Farm Road.

Many communities already have had Code Blue Alerts in place.

Wednesday night’s low 16, the record 12 set in 1986.
