Pharmacist, Saratoga County resident tests positive for coronavirus

There are now two confirmed cases of coronavirus in the Capital Region. Governor Cuomo announcing Saturday a husband and wife from Saratoga County and are under quarantine. The 57 year old man is a pharmacist at CVS in Queensbury. He worked at the pharmacy on March 2nd and 4th after the couple returned from a conference in Miami where they were in contact with an infected person from Pennsylvania. CVS releasing a statement that they are working with the Warren County Health Department and following their infectious disease protocols. As a precaution, the man's pharmacy co-workers are now under self-quarantine. The Health Department saying the risk to pharmacy patients is low and prescriptions dispensed from the Main Street store do not pose a risk to customers. The store was closed Saturday for cleaning but is expected to open today.
