Former Dunkin Donuts Employee Charged With Multiple Thefts at Same Store

There's been an arrest of a former Dunkin Donuts employee following a stakeout.

The Dunkin at 890 Loudon Road was burglarized seven times this month, and the same suspect was seen on surveillance video since March 12.

Colonie police say he used a key to enter, after closing time, then a used a register code to steal money from the register, total taken close to $565.

On Tuesday, officers stayed in the store after closing, suspect, Austin Lopez, was followed from Cohoes to the business.

After they saw him entering the business with a key and trying to steal money, he was arrested on the scene.

Lopez was fired from Dunkin in February but kept the key and knew the register code.
