A 23-year-old man from Brooklyn is facing charges for coughing on people at a Rotterdam Wal-Mart.
Police say Marvin Herring was inside the Altamont Avenue Wal-Mart Tuesday evening, where he said he had the virus and was intentionally coughing on multiple customers.Herring, charged with felony and misdemeanor charges, including making a terroristic threat, was turned over to the Schenectady County Sheriff's Department.
It was discovered he was the subject of an active warrant from the NYPD for robbery. Rotterdam Police says they're following all CDC protocols for potential exposures.
Meanwhile, Walmart employees will now face temperature checks when they come into work.
The company made the announcement Tuesday and said any employee with a fever of 100-degrees or higher will be sent home.
However, they will be paid for coming into work that day.
