Albany Medical Center has been chosen as one of 16 hospitals in the state to participate in a new pilot program.
It will last two weeks and be used to see if medical facilities can safely allow people to visit patients.
Many New Yorkers have not been able to see friends or loved ones up close at hospitals for weeks due to concerns surrounding coronavirus.
Under the pilot program, visits will have a time limit and there will be precautions in place.
Visitors will also have their temperatures checked and need to wear personal protective equipment.
