71 Year Old Troy Luncheonette Owner Back at Work After Customer Attack

The longtime owner of Jimmy's Luncheonette on Congress Street in Troy is back at work

Anastasia Londis, the 71 year old known as Tessie, has been business for 49 years.

She has kept working throughout the pandemic, keeping her business going.

But last week, she was suddenly attacked by a customer that she had just served.

Londis says the irate customer attacked her with a flash light.

Londis was rushed to the hospital with head bruises and slashes in several places that needed stitches.

Three days later, Police arrested 39 year old Shamaiah Davis of Albany.

He is facing charges including assault and robbery.

Londis says if he wanted his food for free, she would have given it to him.

Londis says it is great to be back to work, and the place that she loves, along with her regular customers.
