Governor Andrew Cuomo is writing a book about how he managed New York's COVID-19 response, including a recounting of his interactions with President Trump with whom he often clashed over PPE, ventilators and Trump's public health policy.

It's called "American Crisis" and according to Crown, the book publisher, it'll be released three weeks before November's presidential election.

That news comes just hours after Cuomo spoke at the Democratic National Convention, calling the spread of coronavirus a metaphor for a country weakened by division.

Cuomo has been praised for his blunt, science-driven daily coronavirus briefings but criticized for thousands of deaths at New York's nursing homes.
