Two men are arrested in Guilderland after they allegedly stole from a store in Crossgates Mall, and police say one of the men hit someone with his car as he tried to drive away.

Police say they were called to Crossgates around 3:30 Monday afternoon for a complaint involving Lovell Roper and James Carlton.

Police say the two men ran off, then Carlton got in a car and drove off, hitting a person in the parking lot. The pedestrian was treated for non life threatening injuries.

Carlton was taken into custody on Waverly Place, and Roper was arrested near the Homewood Suites by Crossgates.

Carlton is charged with petit larceny and resisting arrest. Roper faces reckless endangerment and assault charges.

Police are still investigating.
