Cuomo, Health Department Won't Provide Data on COVID Alert NY App

Governor Cuomo says neither he or the state Department of Health will be revealing any information on the recently unveiled COVID Alert NY app.

The program tells users if they've been within six feet of someone who has tested positive for COVID-19. Some have expressed interest in looking at the data gathered so far to see how effective its been in helping the state curb the spread of coronavirus. So far, the app has been downloaded by over 630,000 people.
