Albany County officials believe the recent spike in the number of COVID-19 cases are connected to Thanksgiving.

There were 208 new infections and two more deaths reported Thursday. County Executive Dan McCoy says the increase wasn't unexpected since a lot of People traveled or held large gatherings during the holiday. He also says that while more people are being hospitalized, the region is good shape when it comes to the number of available beds.
