Two Albany Men Arrested After Saturday Early Morning Shooting

Two men are under arrest after Saturday's early morning shooting in Albany.

Police say Javon Robinson shot a man in the hip and torso around 4:30 yesterday morning on Washington Avenue near Cortland Place. Police say the victim is being treated at Albany Med and is expected to survive.

Robinson is charged with attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

Robinson's brother, Roger Thompson, was also arrested. Police say they located Thompson and a car linked to the shooting during their investigation, and officers found a loaded gun in that car.

Thompson is charged with criminal possession of a weapon. The two men are scheduled to be arraigned Sunday morning in Albany.
