Number of COVID-19 Cases Rise in Local Schools for Fifth Straight Week

For the fifth week in a row, the number of new coronavirus cases have gone up in Capital Region schools.

There have been 289 infections in the past week, a 39% jump from the previous seven-day period. Since classes started in September, there have been a total of 1,031 cases among staff members and students. That number includes both kids and teachers who are learning or working off-site.
