New information from the state shows two local counties are struggling in their efforts to contain COVID-19.
Right now, the coronavirus-positivity rate in both Fulton County and Schenectady County is above 9%. Only Genesee County, located in the Finger Lakes region, has a higher infection rate. The Capital Region's overall rate is just below 7%, while statewide it's near 5.5%.
