Death Toll Due to COVID Continuing to Increase Rapidly in Capital Region

The death toll due to COVID-19 is continuing to increase at an alarming rate in the Capital Region.

Over 600 people in the area have now died after getting infected, an increase of 100 in just the last couple of weeks. Most of the residents who have passed away during the pandemic lived in Albany County. The area also has one of the highest coronavirus-positivity rates in the state and ICU capacity in local hospitals is at just 17%.
