A potential candidate for New York governor has announced that he won't be seeking that office next year.

Western New York Congressman Tom Reed has said recently he was considering a challenge to Governor Cuomo, but revealed last night he isn't going to run for that job or re-election in his Congressional district. Reed, a Republican, is currently under fire for alleged sexual misconduct towards a female lobbyist years ago. In a statement, Reed apologized to that woman and says he's looking forward to spending more time with his family.
