New York State is taking another step towards helping college students get vaccinated against COVID-19.

It was announced Monday that SUNY schools will be getting 21,000 doses of vaccine while 14,000 doses will be distributed to private schools. The hope is that students are able to get their shots before leaving campus for Summer vacation. That would likely help reduce the infection rate among young people and prevent them from spreading the illness to their family members.
