Some of the state's top Republicans hold a closed-door meeting in Albany to discuss how the party will approach the 2022 gubernatorial race.

Among those in attendance at the Renaissance Hotel Monday were Long Island Congressman Lee Zeldin and Lewis County Sheriff Mike Carpinelli, who have already launched their campaigns. Also at the event were ex-Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino and Andrew Giuliani, the son of former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani. Congresswoman Elise Stefanik was also supposed to be there, but canceled due to a family emergency.
