Radiothon Interview: Kristi Gustafson Barlette

Special thanks to Howard Hanna Real Estate Services for this online Radiothon Moment

Doug & Kelly had the opportunity to talk to a Capital Region name that may sound familiar to you - Kristi Gustafson Barlette from the Times Union. Like so many others in the Capital Region, Kristi too has a personal experience with The Bernard & Millie Duker Children's Hospital at Albany Med & shared her story during the Cares for Kids Radiothon.

Fourth of July weekend last year, her then 3 year old daughter cut her foot badly on a floor heating register & was rushed to The Massry Family Chidlren's Emergency Center at Albany Med for treatment. Listen to the interview to find out why Kristi found the ER to be a relaxing & comforting place, and just how important the Child Life Specialists can be in comforting children in ways parents cannot.

The Cares for Kids Radiothon on WGY goes thru noon on Friday, May 7, 2021. You can make a donation anytime 5:30a - 6p On May 6th or 7th at 1-877-810-KIDS, or any time of year by clicking here.
