New York State has announced a change to its mask-wearing requirement when it comes to younger residents.

Now, kids between the ages of two and five will no longer need to have a facial covering on while in child care. Instead, it's just being suggested they wear a mask to protect themselves from being exposed to COVID-19. Both parents and county leaders had criticized the initial policy, saying it was too far-reaching and was likely to cause problems for some children.
