A Johnstown deli owner could be spending the rest of his life in prison for his role in the brutal death of an employee.

On Thursday, jurors convicted 52-year-old Georgios Kakavelos of murder and all other charges for killing 22-year-old Allyzibeth Lamont in 2019. Prosecutors say Kakavelos and James Duffy beat Lamont to death before dumping her body near the Northway in Malta. Kakavelos was reportedly upset with Lamont because she was going to file a labor complaint against him for unpaid overtime. He's currently scheduled to be sentenced on August 19th.
